Rona

Once upon a time there was a whanau with two tamariki.
In their family Rona, was the mother.  She was beautiful
because her eyes was sparkled like diamonds. If she walked
past a boy, he would stare for hours and hours at her twinkling
eyes . But there was one problem  she was a very angry lady.
She was so grumpy she was yelling at the baby and the
baby was crying it was crying so much it looked like rain coming out of the sky.

One day Rona's partner said  “It's a very very good day to
go fishing because the moon is just right and there are going
to be a lot of fish. Me and the boys are going out to the island”.
Rona was so angry because she had to make the hangi by
herself. While she making it, she ran out of water but it so it
was so dark she couldn't see where she was going. She
heard the dad and the boys singing so she knew they nearly
home.

Rona quickly ran to the water she tripped over on the roots.
Rona was so angry she swore at the the moon “pokokohua!“
The moon grabbed Rona because he was really upset.
Rona grabbed strongly on the    tree so that the moon couldn't
pull her in the sky. But he was so strong that the moon pulled
out the roots of the tree.

When the dad and the sons arrived they looked up in the sky
and could see Rona and  the moon and Rona was frozen.
